Privacy Policy

What information Mill Mtn Solutions collects through this website, how it's used, and the choices you have — written to be read, no dense legalese.

§ 01 — Overview

Who we are

Mill Mtn Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") is a small advisory practice run by Alex Shema, offering operations advising, AI integration, web design, and business strategy services. This privacy policy applies to this website and the contact form it provides.

§ 02 — Collection

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of standard technical data needed to run the site.

Information you provide

When you submit the contact form, we collect the details you enter, which may include:

  • Your name
  • Your company (optional)
  • Your email address
  • The service you're interested in
  • Any message or details you share about your business

Separately, if you opt in to text messaging by texting us, we receive your mobile phone number and use it to reply. Mobile numbers are treated with extra care and are covered in detail in § 06 — Text messaging.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit — to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and understand general traffic. We do not use this data to personally identify you.

§ 03 — Use

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and follow up about working together
  • Provide the services you request
  • Keep records of our correspondence and client relationships
  • Maintain and improve the security and performance of this website

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We don't send marketing spam — if you reach out, you'll hear back from a real person, not an automated list.

§ 04 — Sharing

How your information is shared

We keep your information confidential and only share it where necessary to operate, namely with trusted service providers who help us run this site and our business:

  • Netlify — hosts this website and processes contact form submissions on our behalf.
  • Twilio — delivers the text messages we send, where you've agreed to receive them.
  • Email and productivity tools — used to receive and respond to your messages.

These providers only access your information to perform their services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Mobile numbers are never shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services — such as the messaging platform that actually delivers a text — is permitted solely for that purpose. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all other sharing, and will not be shared with any third party for any reason.

§ 05 — Cookies

Cookies

Our hosting provider may set essential cookies required for the site to function and to protect against abuse. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking, which sets cookies to measure whether a visit to this site came from one of our ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time, and you can opt out of personalized Google advertising at adssettings.google.com.

§ 06 — Text messaging

Text messaging (SMS/MMS)

We use text messaging to stay in touch with clients and prospective clients about the work we're doing together — scheduling, project updates, questions that need a quick answer, and notices about applications we build and operate. Messaging is a working channel for us, not a marketing list.

How you opt in

We only text people who have asked us to. To opt in, text START to (844) 747-2040 from the mobile number you'd like us to use. That inbound message is your consent, and it's the record we keep — along with the date and time it arrived. We'll reply once to confirm you're enrolled.

We don't add numbers collected any other way. A number you give us on a call, in an email, or through our contact form will not be texted unless that number has opted in. Opting in is entirely optional, and consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchasing anything from us.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies — it depends on the project and on the conversation, and there is no fixed or recurring schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Those charges come from your mobile carrier, not from us, and they depend on your own plan.

How to stop

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We'll send one confirmation that you've been unsubscribed, and then we'll stop texting that number. If you ever want to start again, just text START back. You can also simply tell us — by email or on a call — and we'll remove the number. To get help, reply HELP to any message or email us at alex@millmtn.ai.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Messaging we run for our clients

Some of the applications we build and operate for clients send text messages to that client's own customers. In those cases the client is responsible for their own consent, disclosures, and privacy policy, and we act only as their service provider. This policy covers messages sent by Mill Mtn Solutions on our own behalf.

We do not share your mobile number. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. The only parties that touch your number are the subcontracted providers who deliver the message for us, and they may use it for nothing else.

Full messaging terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions.

§ 07 — Retention

Data retention

We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide services, and meet our business and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

§ 08 — Your rights

Your choices and rights

You have control over your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information
  • Request that we delete your information
  • Opt out of any further communication from us

To exercise any of these, just reach out using the contact form and we'll take care of it.

§ 09 — Security

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work with reputable providers and limit access to your information to what's necessary.

§ 10 — Children

Children's privacy

This website is intended for business inquiries and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

§ 11 — Changes

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.

§ 12 — Contact

Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, email us at alex@millmtn.ai or get in touch through our contact form, and we'll respond personally.
